Brush of An Angel's Wings by Ruth Reid Review What a sweet sweet book this one is I love Amish fiction and this one is uite uniue as Ruth Reid includes angels surrounding the main characters and guiding themone a guardian angel and one a fallen angel trying to convict the main characters to doubt God and abandon faith in Him Rachel and Joshua have many obstacles in their way Rachel is not your typical Amish maiden She is not a good cookher stitches aren't always even in her sewingshe has never been asked to ride home from a singing with one of the local Amish boys She is jealous of Joshua and fears he is replacing her father's affections for her and her dear departed brother James Joshua was raised by an Amish mother and had an absent father He locates his father who is still working as a long distance trucker with the help of the rich pretty young English girl and her cell phone He goes on the road with his father but sees things that explain why he never had his father in his life He is then able to make the decision he needs to make and I will leave you to read to find out what that decision is I had a hard time putting this book down It really touched my heart It was a new twist to have the angels present and to imagine just how they might be acting at this very moment in my own life and the lives of others Thank you Ruth Reid for a new perspective on the realm of angels About the authorRuth Reid is a pharmacist and photographer as well as writer She fell in love with the Amish years ago when she skipped a college class to attend a barn raising I received a free copy of this book from Thomas Nelson publishing through the booksneezecom program in exchange for my honest review

‘Brush of Angel's Wings’ by Ruth Reid is possibly the best book I'veread this year Written by a relatively new author I was a littlescared to read this book however I was very pleasantly surprisedThis book isn't your typical Amish book It is a mixture of twogenres Amish Fiction and Angel Fiction that makes this book veryinterestingIn this book we meet two Angels the good Angel Nathaniel and theevil fallen Angel Tangus who is constantly provoking Nathaniel'swards Rachel and Jordan Rachel isn't your typical Amish girl Beingthe youngest daughter unmarried and not very good at domestic skillsshe's taken to helping out on the farm in the wake of herbrother's death since she's the only remaining child at home for herparents Her parents however have different ideas for Rachel andhire Jordan to help out on the farm in hopes that Rachel will become focused on finding herself and also a good Amish husbandJordan on the other hand isn't exactly Amish He's the son of ashunned Amish lady whose last wish was for her son to get to know herfamily as his own father has abandoned them When tragedy strikesand all hope seems to be extinguished Tangus does his best to lureRachel and Jordan down the path of despair Nathaniel has not yetgiven up and is determined to bring the pair to ChristThis book was absolutely fantastic I cried with Rachel when sheexperienced overwhelming loss and I felt Jordan's sheer hopelessnessThe message of God's love and salvation being extended and the peacethat follows was wonderfully refreshing and delightful to read Itwas also interesting to see the attacks of Satan brought to lifethrough the dialogue of Nathaniel and Tangus I give this book 5stars and can't wait to go back and read the first debut novel ‘ThePromise of an Angel’ I will certainly be on the lookout for futurereleases from this AuthorDisclosure of Material Connection I received this book free from thepublisher through the BookSneeze®com book review bloggers program Iwas not reuired to write a positive review The opinions I haveexpressed are my own I am disclosing this in accordance with theFederal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255

I received this book from Booksneeze for free in exchange for a fair and honest review The opinions expressed here are my own and I was not reuired to give a positive review Katie has lived through tragedy and heartache But with the angel Elias by her side the best years of her life are just aheadWhen Katie Bender’s fiancé died in a tragic accident so did her hope of finding loveSeth Stutzman arrived in Hope Falls days before the storm And when he helps usher Katie and the children to safety sparks fly But Seth is only in town to help his brother Amos get back on his feet following the death of his wife He can’t afford to have feelings for KatieSworn to protect what God has ordained the mighty angel Elias appears to them as a mysterious visitor And with his guidance Katie and Seth find the courage to take the first small steps toward the life and love they were destined forThis is the third book in the Heaven on Earth Series and although I did not read the first two I caught on to this book right away and felt right at home as I dove in and became attached to these characters and their stories I found myself rooting for their love and wanting every obstacle cleared for them to be together This is the first book by Ms Reid that I have read and I found her writing to be easy to read and very engaging I would definitely recommend this book and will certainly be checking out books by this author

I received this book free through Goodreads First ReadsI have not read any Amish books so was very happy to have this opportunityI was pleasantly surprised to see the Pennsylvania Dutch Glossary at the beginning of the book I enjoyed the fact that the author brought Christian and Amish aspects together which gave a nice blend to the story including the interaction of the angels with the characters in the book The author depicts the simple life where material things are not important She shows the characters in the story as having great strength in the face of diversityThe love in this family binds them together as they find each other in renewed lovehope and forgiveness I will recommend this book to my friends I am also interested in reading Heaven on Earth Novels

Very well written I as a Christian felt convicted at times of prayerlessness in areas of my life As I read how God moved in the lives of these precious people I saw Him at work in my own heart and life Great book

  10. Jean St.Amand Jean St.Amand says:

It was ok fairly predictable except for what happened to Sadie I kept thinking that Katie and Timothy should have gotten married though I skipped reading almost all of the parts about what the bad and good angel were saying and doing; I just found it stupid
