A Secret Shared Sweet romantic short and heartwarming are a few words that can be used to describe this book I loved the characters and thought bit of backstories were interesting I wished there was conflict but that's probably because I'm so used to books being drama filled This book didn't need it so much Overall I really enjoyed this book and if you are looking for a book with the ualities I mentioned before this book is for you didn't finished the book A Secret SharedThey had known each other years ago She had been married to a controlling person He didn't do relationships Both had a childhood that left emotional scars But when they meet again when he needed an unconventional healing for his nephew Can these two people be able to find something that can heal and hold them together forever? An amazing story about healing with dolphins Jack takes his recently orphaned nephew to a sanctuary where playing and working with dolphins helps injured children heal and reunites with his university friend Kate This is a beautiful story and features some very playful and special dolphins A great read A Secret Shared is a medical romance by Marion Lennox The setting is in New Zealand at a Dolphin Sanctuary The sanctuary is also a last hope physical therapy place for children who have terminal illnesses or physical illnesses or emotional illnesses The characters and the dolphins are realistically portrayed Dr Jack Kincaid is an oncologist and a professor whose career is on the rise His sister and her husband were killed when a drunk driver hit their car Their son Harry sustained severe injury to his leg and has emotionally shut down He rarely talks and does not respond to them very often Since he got out of the hospital he had been living with Jack’s other sister Helen and her large family Harry seemed to have gotten lost in her family Jack steps in to take Harry for a while to see if he can help The only catch is that he had to take Harry to the Dolphin Sanctuary to see if they can help Harry Helen has already made arrangements to get Harry into the program To appease his sister Jack agrees although he thinks the place is fradulous and does not see how animals can help He is even skeptical when the first thing he sees is the death of a little boy in the water with the dolphins He does not know that the boy was terminal and his parents chose to have him spend his last days in peace rather than having medical procedures which won’t work He is amazed to recognize the therapist Dr Kate Martin as a woman doctor he once knew as Catherine Heineman in medical school However since the receptionist had introduced Harry to Dr Martin’s dog Maisie and actually had gotten positive reactions from Harry he decided to give the place a chance He also wanted to see why Catherine is now Dr Kate Martin Kate is disturbed to see Jack Kincaid as she thoroughly vetted the people wanting appointments to make sure no one from her past life got in However since the appointment had actually been made by Helen Jack’s name never appeared She decided to allow them to stay since Harry was here and responding to Maisie She was concerned her secret would be exposed What is she hiding? Will she and the dolphins be able to help Harry? Will Jack change his mind about her services? How will Jack’s life change? This is a really good book A sweet chaste romance recommended to me by a library patron After the accidental death of his sister and brother in law super successful and busy oncologist Jack Kincaid takes time off to help his traumatized seven year old nephew Harry recover Although he has doubts about it they travel to the Dolphin Bay Healing Resort where patients interact with dolphins to help in the healing process Surprisingly while there Jack encounters a ex medical school chum as the head of the facility Dr Kate Martin Dr Kate has her own healing to do which includes taking another name and having to start her life all over again There really isn't too much detail about Dr Kate's previous troubled relationship and the book does end relatively uickly with almost no thought about it The best part of this book though is the relationship between Jack and his little nephew Harry The ending isn't really believable that a wildly successful doctor would give it all up to work in the county for significantly less money just to be with his nephew and fiancé but it is a lovely thought Is a secret halvedHigh flying oncologist professor Jack Kincaid isn't convinced by the treatment offered at Dolphin Bay Healing Resort But if there's the slightest possibility that dolphins can help his little nephew Harry he needs to give it a chance Especially when he recognizes beautiful therapist Dr Kate Martin—the woman he once knew as CathyJack can't help but be intrigued and he's just as attracted to her as he always was And when Kate reveals to him the devastating secret that she will do anything to escape not only does she share her burden but she starts to open up Jack's locked away heart too

About the Author: Marion Lennox

Writing romance sounds fascinating HuhI'm a writer I'm boring Day after day I sit behind a word processor making up people in my head Why do I do it I love it My husband Dave gets up in the morning puts on a suit and heads out into the ice and cold of Ballarat's winter Sadly I live in one of the tiny parts of Australia that ualifies as cold I make myself another cup of coffee head
