35 40 stars rating shown may vary depending on whether the site allows half star ratingsThe suspense is compelling though the plot point of having someone witness a murder and then there not being evidence when the police arrive and the police then don't believe there was a murder has been used in other books and the romance between the two main characters is believable though the fact that Petra is ready for marriage at the end was not at least not to meThe roses at the end for some reason I always thought yellow roses meant friendship but I believe Joe says to pick a white rose for friendship

Witness by Susan Page DavisPetra Wilson was just enjoying a night of catch with her dog Mason when she heard something from the house behind her She watched as a woman was murdered and as the murderer saw her Problem was the police couldn’t find a body or any evidence of what she saw Joe a PI she met at her sister’s was the only person who believed her Joe Tarleton was determined to prove Petra really did see a murderonly their was no evidence And even as strange things started happening to her nothing pointed to the neighbor who was also a well respected man Joe needed to somehow find proof before it was too late for Petra The desperate the murderer becamethe danger the only witness was inGreat suspense story Petra had to keep asking herself if she really did see the murder Joe had to prove that this woman he just met was not someone to create stories And both of them would have to put their pasts behind them if they wanted a future together Petra had left God behind twelve years ago and nothing like facing death to see that He is the only one to turn to during difficult times The author keeps you on pins and needles as the heat turns up on our heroine
